The Cherub & the Garfish Gargoyle

     He heard a whisper of sound that turned into a stage whisper, loud and distinct, coming from near him.

     He searched for its source and his heart jumped as the marble cherub began to chant in Latin. The little angel was standing upon a gargoyle that was a kind of garfish with a long flat nose. It began to slither about as the cherub sought to dominate it.

     He fled in horror down the left hand isle of the cathedral and took a pew at the base of the fifth station of the cross.
