Words Inspired

The images shown on this page are nearly all postcards that were collected during the writing of Twisted Bayou.

The images served as points of departure to aid in the inspiration and the imaging of the Cajun Summer of 1963.

The technical term for this writing technique is ekphrasis, from the Greek for a vivid, often dramatic, verbal description of a work of art.
